Collection: Germ Cell Tumors

What are Germ Cell Tumors?

Germ cell tumors are rare growths that originate from reproductive cells, most commonly found in the ovaries or testes, but they can also occur in areas such as the abdomen, chest, or brain. These tumors can be benign (non-cancerous) or malignant (cancerous) and often appear during adolescence or early adulthood.

Symptoms may vary depending on the location of the tumor but can include abdominal or testicular pain, swelling, irregular menstrual cycles, fullness in the lower abdomen, or visible lumps. The exact cause is not fully understood, but factors such as genetics, hormonal imbalance, and immune system dysfunction are believed to contribute to their development.

While some germ cell tumors respond well to conventional treatment, a holistic approach that includes immune and cellular support may also be beneficial when guided by a qualified professional.
